Ok, I know this isn't exactly gaming, per se, but holy crap on a crap cracker, this "Content-Aware Fill" thing in the upcoming Photoshop CS5 is a freakin' forum goon's wet dream.
That makes 6 weeks without an original content update. I've started working on something, I promise. I've just been playing a lot of Warhammer (and a little Far Cry 2), and really all the other PC games that have come out recently sound so "bleah" that I can't even drum up the initiative to even install them, much less play them, much less write a witty and acerbic review of them.
But there will be something else besides me mooching content off Zero Punctuation soon.
So I haven't written a review in quite some times. The ZP updates are stacking up. Here's why -
First and foremost, I'm still having too much fun in Warhammer Online to stop to play something else.
Second, ZP keeps beating me to the punch >_<
Thirdly, it's the holiday season and between travel and sickness my free time's gotten pretty... not free.
Seriously, I actually have managed to take a look at the odd other game (such as Fallout 3 and Call of Duty: World at War), but somehow the spirit just doesn't move when it's time to put pen to metaphorical paper. I have other games stacked up ready to go for review, but as I mentioned my ability to churn through them is a little choked right now.
But I do intend to do something about it. At some point.

Work's kicking my butt so updates are gonna be scarce (as obviously they have been for the last week) for a while.
But on the plus side, I did get to meet Johnny Solinger, the lead singer of Skid Row, today.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Gary Gygax, who co-created the fantasy game Dungeons & Dragons and helped start the role-playing phenomenon, died Tuesday morning at his home in Lake Geneva. He was 69.Read Full Article
He had been suffering from health problems for several years, including an abdominal aneurysm, said his wife, Gail Gygax.
Gygax and Dave Arneson developed Dungeons & Dragons in 1974 using medieval characters and mythical creatures. The game known for its oddly shaped dice became a hit, particularly among teenage boys, and eventually was turned into video games, books and movies.
Gygax always enjoyed hearing from the game's legion of devoted fans, many of whom would stop by the family's home in Lake Geneva, about 55 miles southwest of Milwaukee, his wife said. Despite his declining health, he hosted weekly games of Dungeons & Dragons as recently as January, she said.
"It really meant a lot to him to hear from people from over the years about how he helped them become a doctor, a lawyer, a policeman, what he gave them," Gygax said. "He really enjoyed that."
Dungeons & Dragons players create fictional characters and carry out their adventures with the help of complicated rules. The quintessential geek pastime, it spawned a wealth of copycat games and later inspired a whole genre of computer games that's still growing in popularity.
Funeral arrangements are pending. Besides his wife, Gygax is survived by six children.

There's some cat stuff in the middle everybody's seen a billion times already, but around that minute or so is about seven minutes of people hurting themselves in very ridiculous ways.
And some bonus pain-
They've already got the Ion Engines working, but it really tweaks me how the article calls them "Star Trek type engines," when Ion Engines are actually Star Wars. Star Trek's engines of note are the "Warp Drives" which operate by bending space around the vessel... and I dare say we're a few more years away from that kind of technology.
